ROMANCE CHALLENGE OUTFIT
Here I am presenting the outfit entitled “Romantic Get Away” which was created for the CDS Romance Challenge. The romantic scenario I was portraying with the outfit was the honeymoon to a tropical destination.
My doll’s first garment is her traveling suit in the modest style of a double breasted jacket worn over a simple fitted dress. Once she has arrived at her honeymoon location, a quick change of the jacket for a colorful sarong and the outfit is ready for the sun and sand. To capture the ambience, there is a heart shaped trim at the waistline edge of the sarong and a rhinestone filled heart at the side closure which is a metal snap. A beautiful tangerine colored satin fabric is used to create the simple sundress. With its deep princess neckline, the fitted sundress is perfect for that intimate dinner for two. Dress closure is metal snaps at the back. Dress is lined in an ecru lining. Colorful polka dots on a black background are the pattern in the fabric used to create the jacket. The jacket has three quarter length sleeves with French cuffs. The French cuffs and jacket collar are made from the same fabric as the dress. The jacket has six tiny buttons on the front, but closes with metal snaps underneath. Lining of the jacket is black lining fabric. Sarong is a chiffon material with variegated orange and yellow ray pattern.
The jewelry is a black necklace and bracelet, and a necklace and bracelet of white seed beads and a variety of orange beads. Necklaces close with a spring ring. Bracelet beads are strung on elastic thread. Faux purse is made from fake black leather and is trimmed with a gold bead to represent a clasp.
The soft fabric purse slips between the doll’s fingers to be hand held.
The garments for sale are the jacket, dress, sarong, jewelry, and fake purse.
